After working with several consultants over his career, Bill became frustrated with the lack of actual retail/manufacturing experience most of them possessed. He found that they had a difficult time suggesting solutions that would work in a “real world” retail/manufacturing environment. 1995 became the launching point for Bill to form Stuart & Associates Inc. His stated goal was to start a consulting company that was different, spoke the language of retailers and manufacturer’s and would offer effective solutions.
Bill had over 20 years of retail experience prior to starting Stuart & Associates. He has a proven track record of turning problems into profits by providing substantial gains in revenue, margin and bottom-line profits.
He held every major field operations position from District Manager, Regional Merchandiser to Group Vice-President of store operations during his retail career. He understands firsthand what it takes to run stores, motivate people and react quickly in a practical way to everyday situations.
His ability to work with retailers and manufacturers in the development of products, selling strategies, return reduction programs and best in class training has gained him the respect of the top retailers and manufacturers in the world.
John shared Bill’s opinion of consultants who did not fully comprehend the retail process. Having listened to many consultants’ impractical theories, John decided to put his convictions to the test and agreed to come on board in forming Stuart & Associates.
Prior to becoming a partner at Stuart & Associates John had fourteen years of retail experience. Ten years were spent at a major retailer where he developed, trained, and managed the company’s multi-million dollar Extended Service Plan program.
Over the course of the last 20 years John has developed and performed training for major fortune 500 companies. He has also developed and worked with different types of training delivery methods including: E-learning, Intra-net training, Radio, Satellite Broadcasts, Virtual Training, Training Videos and Live Training Seminars. This allows Stuart & Associates to stay on the cutting edge of today's learning technology.
As Bill & John continue to augment the company with top flight professional trainers and leadership developers, their already sterling reputation of providing innovative, dynamic and exciting training will only increase.
As President of Stuart & Associates, John continues to bring a refreshing approach to the training and development side of Stuart & Associates.
Dawn has been the CFO of Stuart & Associates since it’s founding in 1996 and brings an extensive financial and business background to her duties as chief financial officer of Stuart & Associates.
In addition to her accounting background Dawn has held several positions with major retailers, including Area Management, Assistant Buyer, Senior Buyer and Store Merchandiser.
Dawn possesses a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from SUNY Albany.
